Colada Shop Has Chosen Arlington To Open Its Sixth Location, Nearing The Opening Date

The opening date has been scheduled for March 18th. And, this Cuban-inspired cafe will occupy a space of 2,200 sq. ft in Clarendon.

Colada Shop is a well-known cafe in Washington, founded by Daniella. The shop has announced its sixth and Arlington’s first shop opening. The opening date has been scheduled for March 18th. 

The Cuban-inspired cafe will occupy a space of 2,200 sq. ft in Clarendon, which is located adjacent to Seamore’s and Tatte. Unlike its other locations, Clarendon Cafe will feature a large bar space, which will be the largest among its other establishments. 

Daniella said, “Each Colada Shop has its own unique charm, and I’m thrilled to see the infectious energy this Clarendon spot will bring to our family.”

“Clarendon has always been on our radar, and now, we’ve found the perfect spot to bring our Cuban coffee, cocktails, and culinary delights, amplifying the neighborhood’s spirit.”

According to Daniella, the Colada Shop will have a significant focus on the bar area. As the customers enter the cafe, they will immediately step into the bar, which has been “designed to create a lively and convivial atmosphere for the customers to relax, mingle, and indulge in a range of delectable Cuban-inspired libations.” Daniella expressed her admiration for the neighborhood and its night-time-focused atmosphere. This inspired her to design her store accordingly. 

Delicacies On The Menu of Colada Shop: 

Just like other locations of Colada Shop, the Clarendon establishment will also offer its signature dishes, including Cuban sandwich with ham, guava barbecue pork ribs, slow-roasted pork & Swiss cheese, ropa vieja sliders prepared with Cuban braised beef, pickled onions, sweet plantains & cojita cheese and to name a few. However, there will be twists on traditional cocktails, infusing various spirits. This way, some of the food items, include the Maduro Old Fashioned, prepared with spiced maduro syrup, cascara bitters, and bourbon, Guava-Infused Negroni, along with gin, red bitter, sweet vermouth and guava puree, and more. 

Moreover, they are keen to offer seasonal specials like tamarind syrup, lime simple syrup, and tamarind daiquiris. Food items, including cauliflower empanadas with La Picanta hot sauce, arroz con gandules croquetas, and more. Additionally, the cafe will offer refreshing smoothies and drinks with a list of mixtures such as Siempre Verde, Banana Cafecito, and so on. 

Upon its opening, the Colada Shop has been planning to offer a free “Colada Clarendon” tote bag to the first 50 customers on March 18. Also join the Colada Team to enjoy their ‘Happy Hour Specials,’ which features $8 cocktails, and a $2 discount on seltzer, wine, and beer available throughout the day until 9 pm.
