Black Tea:

Black tea is the greatest alternative for coffee as it is made up of completely fermented and oxidized leaves so that it has a certain amount of caffeine in it. Yet, needless to worry, the amount of caffeine is lower than in the coffee, so it can be consumed without any guilt of consuming caffeine. It is rich in antioxidants (flavonoids) which slow down the process of aging. In addition, it  boosts the metabolism, growth of gut bacteria, and improves heart’s health.

Green Tea:

yeah. You might have heard the health benefits of green tea already. Unlike black tea, green tea is made up of non-fermented and quickly processed leaves. Since it is not subjected to oxidation, it has a high level of antioxidants and bioactive compounds that aids you in fastening the fat burn by promoting the metabolism. Hence it helps to maintain the ideal body weight and prevents cholesterol accumulation. A regular consumption of green tea will reduce various diseases like diabetes, cardiac disease, liver diseases, and cancer. It is used even in beauty products.

Peppermint Tea:

Peppermint tea can be an excellent option to support the digestive system. Various studies have shown that a compound called menthol in peppermint eases digestion by relaxing the intestinal tract. When the intestine is relaxed, the bloating can be reduced to a maximum extent. Moreover this tea doesn’t contain any caffeine in it so it can be taken while you are on a diet.

Ginger Tea:

Needless to say ginger is the root of the ginger plant which is widely used as a spice enhancer and flavoring agent. It has been a handy and traditional medicine for stomach upset. So no wonder! Like the peppermint, ginger gives a great support to the digestive system. Furthermore, it can be a good medicine for headache, sinus, nausea and motion sickness.

Turmeric Tea:

Turmeric has its long history in treating issues like headache, inflammation, bacterial/ fungal infections, cold, and so forth as turmeric has a good amount of anti-inflammatory properties and anti-bacterial / fungal properties. This also aids the immune system, prevents Alzheimer’s, cures liver diseases, cope with lung infections, and reduces stress.

Chamomile Tea:

“In recent years, chamomile tea has gained more importance than any other tea” – says Ritual Coffee Bar, a ThreeBestRatedⓇ award winning cafe. Many have found that it lifts the mood up and promotes sleep quality as it contains a compound called apigenin (dietary flavonoid found in plants such as chamomile tea, fruits and vegetables) that has proved to have sedative effects. Hence it relieves stress and anxiety and can be a great option for those who are coping with depression.

Above are the healthy options you can choose from according to your needs. Nowadays, knowing the benefits of all these teas, many cafes have been offering various teas to their customers. So you need not worry if you’re out. You can have it anywhere!
